Research Focus & Areas of Expertise

Profession and organization: What distinguishes schools, hospitals, and long-term care facilities from other settings relevant for health promotion?

Implementation of health promotion in hospitals, Implementating the Baby-friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) in Austria. Development of qualitative measures for health determinants. Analysis of focusgroup interviews and development of a health promotion program.

Literature analysis about institutionalized elderly care in Germany: placement of long-term care in the German health- and social insurance system, type and number of long-term care facilities, relevant laws and legislation, financing of long-term care, quality assurance, interest groups.
